Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market and Late-night Shopping
16th November – 19th December
Adorned by the stunning Exeter Cathedral as it's the backdrop, Exeter Christmas Market is back for its seventh year and its bigger and better than ever before! Hailed as one of the best in the UK, you’ll be able to meander between the carefully selected stalls offering a wide variety of exceptional exhibitors, from crafts to delicious delicacies. If that’s not enough, be spoilt for choice with a varied selection of drinks, mulled or otherwise, in the impressively erected ‘Cathedral Tavern’ which took home ‘Best Bar’ award in the 2019 Exeter Living Awards. You'll also be able to hit the shops after work every Thursday in December, as the shops stay open until around 9pm to make sure you’re prepped for the big day!
Totnes Christmas Market
3rd – 17th
Arguably the most anticipated Tuesday evenings of the year are back! Totnes Christmas Market returns for another year of festive community spirit. From 15:30-21:00, watch as Totnes’s otherwise nonchalant high street fills up with a buzz of people visiting an eclectic mix of local business across the South West, selling anything from individual crafts to vintage clothing. Oh, and make sure you go with an empty belly, as a mere waft of the delicious local food and drink stalls will be enough to send your taste buds into overdrive!
Bastille: Doom Days Club Nights – The Foundry
If you’ve already had enough of listening to Mariah Carey listing off all the things she wants for Christmas, then this might be the perfect distraction. Multi-award-winning, Bastille, are bringing their Doom Day Club Night to Torquay's The Foundry. Head on down for a night full of hits, including, Bad Blood, Flaws and Pompeii.
Lantern Parade and Christmas Street Fayre
Newton Abbot will also play host to festive fun this Christmas, as the town centre will come alive with a Christmas street fayre and lantern parade, and the shops will remain open late so you can squeeze in your Christmas purchases!
Christmas at Kents Cavern
Ever celebrated Christmas in a prehistoric cave? Well, now you can. Kents Cavern will be bringing a Christmas extravaganza fit for all ages, with a panto style adventure around the caves, mulled wine and mince pies, and the chance to meet the big man himself, whilst he takes a well-earned break from other very important Christmas responsibilities.
