An EXceptional Work Placement Provider - Exeter City Council
December is a great time of year for us because we get to visit all our amazing work placement providers and say a big thank you for offering our applicants invaluable work experience. It’s the perfect time to reflect on the year, and an opportunity to celebrate the vital role our work placements orchestrate.
Year after year, Exeter City Council have gone above and beyond their duty as a work placement provider, and this year was no exception! Throughout the last 12 months, our applicants have worked in the Tourism and Economic Development sector; supporting exciting projects at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, as well as TechExeter, a focus point for all things tech-related in Exeter, and even taking on the integral responsibility of representing the Council at local job fairs. Not only has this afforded our participants with an abundance of vital experience and employability skills, but throughout the year, the Council have generously arranged out-of-office experiences; forming pinnacle moments of participants time in the UK. This includes organising a trip to watch Exeter City Football Club play in a home game and roof tour of Exeter Cathedral!
Monica, who worked as a Business Projects Assistant said “It’s been an absolute pleasure working for the ECC, it was amazing from beginning to end. I enjoyed being able to contribute and I had so much fun while doing so I forgot I was working in the first place. BEST. JOB. EVER.”
It is with this, we would like to extend our thank you to Exeter City Council for their dedication to provide our applicants with a truly memorable and worthwhile experience. It is such an honour to provide European students with the opportunity to work for such a considerate organisation that values each-and-every staff member. Here's to 2020 and our continued pledge to deliver a superior programme that priorities the wellbeing of every individual!
